Summer Fun

Even though I've officially gone back to work I haven't really worked much. And I'm definitely not complaining. Bennett and I went down to Springfield for a week and one of us came back with a tan...

3 Months

I can't believe Bennett is 3 months already. It's going by way too fast. He doesn't have a doctors appointment this month so the stats are the 'animal' function on Wii Fit and my own measurement with my sewing tape measure!

Weight: 14lbs 6 oz
Height: 26 in

Likes: Still loves to be snuggled (spoiled I know), likes to sleep on his side, likes licking and sucking on anything you put in front of his mouth. He has discovered his own hands and loves sucking on them.
Dislikes: Having his clothes or diaper changed, dislikes other people eating in front of him (even if he just ate)
Other random things: He rolled over for the first time both stomach to back and back to stomach. I've only seen it happen once, but I'm sure there are more to come! He still has two different colored eyes although the one is looking more green than blue now. It may look like he is loosing hair, but he's not. His head is just growing faster than his hair and the hair he is growing is coming in blond.

Does anyone know how to make these into a collage? I just can't figure it out....

Happy Anniversary

So this post is a week late, but on the 18th Lincoln and I celebrated our second anniversary. We actually did not celebrate together. As stated in the previous post Lincoln had to go to Dayton for the Air Force. So I packed our bags and Bennett and I went to Springfield to see Lincoln's parents. If you remember from last year Lincoln was in Alabama with the Air Force for our anniversary, so I spent it with his family. I think this is going to be our "thing". He goes away for our anniversary and I go spend it with his family.

Regardless of being apart for the big day, the last two years have been great. We've had lots of adventures, lived in 3 different states and in 4 different apartments. All in all I have no complaints (I'm sure he would say the same).

Here are some of the highlights of the last year:

-Moved to Chicago
-Lincoln started medical school
-Had a baby
-I saw my first White Sox game
-Lincoln got to fly an airplane (technically that was a few days after our anniversary, more to come on that later)

I'm sure there are more, those are just the big ones. It's been fun and I'm glad that we get to have these experiences together. Thanks for a fabulous 2 years, here's to 2 more great years!

Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day

This has been a year of firsts. Fathers Day is one of those. It was a pretty low key day. We went to church and then came home and packed Lincoln up and took him to the air port. As you can see from the photo he is dressed in his uniform headed off to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. I'm not exactly sure what he is doing there (seems to be the case with all Air Fore related things), but it's something about Aerospace Medicine. I'll have to blog about it when he gets back. Even though he had to leave he got to spend half the day with Bennett. We made him breakfast and got him a tent, so we can go camping!

For only being a dad for three months I have to say he's doing a pretty good job and Bennett seems to like him! Happy Fathers Day Lincoln. We love and miss you.

Summer Fun

We've been enjoying have the summer off. It's so warm we've been going outside a lot more. The other day we adventured to some local State Parks in search of a place to camp for scouts. I forgot to take my camera. But we found a few places we liked that I think we'll go back to as a family. We also went and walked through the Lyman Woods. It's right by Lincoln's school and has a really nice trail. We've only just begun our summer of fun. Many more adventures to come.

We saw a family of racoons. This one is making sure we don't get too close.

Lincoln informed me that we never got a bath picture. He's getting too big to fit in the sink. I think it's probably time to try the bath tub. 

This is our little patio and the only outdoor chair we own...not much to look at, but it's still nice to sit outside.

Sox Game

Last night we went to our (Bennett and mine) first White Sox game. We had so much fun even though they lost. We got some fairly good seats in left center field only three rows up. Too bad both the White Sox homers were to right field. Oh well...

Baby Bennett of course commanded lots of attention. There was an older man who brought an over-sized glove. It was HUGE. People kept wanting pictures with it and some lady decided that it would be great to put the baby in it. Anyone within 50 feet of us oohed and ahhed at the sight. He's just so cute, everyone loves him! Unfortunately that is the one picture that my camera will not let me upload for some reason. I'll keep trying.

HAHA I can't get enough of this one. He's so happy! Gotta love being Asian.

He of course had a blowout diaper, so this is the second outfit of the night.
