5 Months!

Holy cow it goes by so fast. I feel like he's HUGE! This month we don't have a doctor's appointment so the stats are from the wii and my sewing tape again!

Weight: 19lbs! No wonder my arm hurts all the time
Height: 29in

Likes:  His new toys (johnny jump jump and an exer-saucer), singing songs with Dad (mainly about Ethan Allen's Green Mountain Boys, British privateers, the Alamo, sinking the Bismarck, the Battle of New Orleans, Grierson's Raiders, and for some reason Old Yeller); going on stroller rides to the park; swimming in the bathtub (mostly breast stroke, like his mother); sucking/chewing on carrot sticks

Dislikes:  Keeping his diaper and lower back poopless when his Dad takes him to neighbors' parties; letting Mom sleep through the night; the new tooth coming down from his top gums, keeping the bumbo, himself, and anything else in a 4-ft radius clean during cereal-feeding time



Here are the pictures. He's very stubborn and would only smile at Dad, so that's why he is not looking at the camera.

Bennett has been doing this thing lately where he just lays his head on the ground for a few minutes while he's playing.

 It's 10:00 and he's supposed to be sleeping, but it's much more fun to play with daddy.

This is after he finally fell asleep. I don't know what he was dreaming about but it mush have been good!

Who needs a teething ring when you have a carrot stick. He loves it!

So BIG

Bennett is getting so big I can hardly believe it. He is rolling over all the time now. He wont sit still he wants to be moving all the time. I need to get a video of him rolling. Meanwhile here are some other things happening.

This may be my favorite onesie. I love it!

4 Months

Here are Bennett's 4 month stats

Height: 26.75 in (93%)
Weight: 16.2 lbs (79%)
He's one big baby

Likes: Cuddling with Mommy, walking outside with Daddy, splashing during bath time (we've been watching a lot of Olympic swimming), standing (he doesn't like to sit as much)
Dislikes: Falling asleep when Dad is holding him
He holds his head up and is very interactive with smiling and even giggling at times.  He's really starting to find his hands. He grabs anything he can get a hold of and sticks it in his mouth. He's rolling over quite a bit now. His eyes are still two different colors but the one is getting darker.

He turned 4 months in July so we had a very festive photo shoot.

There's going to be a lot of pictures. We spent the whole month of July in Utah. We got to visit lots of family and friends. We were pretty busy, but we had lots of fun.

Bennett's first plane ride. We tried to keep him awake so he would sleep the whole time. He was so tired he fell asleep sitting up at the airport.  He'd never slept like that before.

Here he is on the plane on Lincoln's lap.  He behaved excellently (unlike the rest of the many children on this flight to Salt Lake City), mostly sleeping the whole time and taking a bottle for takeoff/landing.

This looks worse than it was. This is the top layer of our wedding cake. We moved shortly after we got married and kept forgetting about it. It's only a year late!

4th of July

Our little firecracker

Best 4th of July tradition: slip n slide. We added the little kiddie pool not too long ago, which was good since Bennett can't really handle the slip n slide yet.

New found game thanks to Pinterest. Viking Chess (try it, it's super fun)

Bradley took the boys to the Air Force Museum for his birthday. The girls got pedicures.

After that, we all went to dinosaur park in Ogden.

Then we went to the drive-in to see Brave (which was good, not great)

We had a swim party at my parents. Kim had games for the kids so the parents could finish eating. This one was water balloon pinata.

(Tracey's cousin) Derek. Bennett Stared at him pretty much the whole time he was holding him (maybe cause Lincoln doesn't grow facial hair like this)

As you can see Bennett got lots of attention. He was so good to let everyone hold him. He grew both in height and weight while we were gone.  He also became a lot more active with kicking, standing, holding his head up, etc. 

We had lots of fun. Now we just need to get him back on his schedule at home...
